History

In 1973, Jim Lewis purchased Pettis County Abstract and Title Company in Sedalia, Missouri. His son Steve Lewis continued his commitment to quality service and attention to detail while he owned the business, and also acquired Saline County Abstract Company in Marshall, Missouri in 1994. Now brothers Todd Lewis and Drew Lewis continue the family legacy as third generation title insurers, remaining committed to the values instilled in them by their father and grandfather.

Over the last two decades, the business expanded even further, purchasing Johnson County Title Company in 2009 and Lafayette County Land Title Co. in 2016. Shortly thereafter, a merger of the title companies was completed, and renamed Truman Title. We are very proud of where we have been, and where we are going. We presently have offices in Higginsville, Marshall, Odessa, Sedalia and Warrensburg.
